Sending a Postcard to an Author

I've been wanting to send a thank-you note to author Charles de Lint for a while.  Being that it's Month of Letters, I decided now was the time.  What postcard to send?  I went through a whole dialogue with myself before I finally realized that a card from Penguin's box of 100 book covers would be perfect.

The Lost Girl by D. H. Lawrence, 1950 is still widely available.

Have you written to a favourite author to let him or her know how much you have enjoyed their works?  If not, then it is time.

  1. A perfect choice! I've received one or two from that box though not recently. I like the Puffin Book postcards too - memories of childhood.

  2. I don't really have a favorite author. I think the Penguin postcard idea was a good one, but I wonder how many people are using them to write.

  3. I did LetterMo too but never thought to write to an author. It's a good idea to keep in mind. Thanks.
