It's always exciting when I receive a postcard in the mail. I want to share that joy by sending a postcard every week; sometimes to family and friends, and other times to strangers via Postcrossing.com.

From Russia with Love
I received this card via Postcrossing. The sender tells me this is a view on the Volga River and that it is a typical landscape view of the midlands of Russia.
She lives in Cheboksary which is the capital of the Chuvash Republic on the Volga River and is 750 km from Moscow. The city was founded in 1469, Additional information about this area can be found in this wiki article.
Postcard Friendship Friday is hosted by Beth at The Best Hearts are Crunchy.

I love the people of Russia--this is such a beautiful postcard. What a lovely place.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. My English friend and I were talking the other day about how we had pen friends when we were growing up and it was fun to get something from someone we'd never met and become friends through the mail - a bit like blogging today.
